One of the most thriving and dominant cultures here in Inner-City Sydney is our Creative Arts community. But, unfortunately it is one of the most underseen and publicly unrecognised or promoted to its equal level of its value that it brings to our public sphere. In wanting to alter the identity of Sydney's Creative Arts, Unknown.TV was born under the main purpose of providing modern documentation, promotion and events to expose to the public and increase the knowledge of the unique and special art that is offered to the world by our very unique & talented local artists.

 

Unknown.TV seeks to venture across all of Sydney at all times, to capture the world and people of Sydney's Creative Arts. Through interviews, photoshoots, video-shoots, journalism and articles, Unknown.TV wants to promote the arts scene in Inner-City Sydney as extensively as we can, to bring to life and show the value and love our local artists bring to Sydney and its environment.

Unknown.TV was created and currently operated by young media director (myself) Josh Macfarlane. Going to acting school together in my child & teenage years in Inner-City Sydney, I obsessed over the practice and world of creative arts in all diverse practices (Music, Photography, Filmography, Design, Writing and more). Growing older, I experienced the common reality, that the artistic world in Sydney I wanted to immerse myself in education, business and monetary practice, was: unrecognised, unavailable, under funded, publicly unpromoted, undocumented and a lot of the involved talented artists left, UNKNOWN.

I thought it was time to change that. Through the brand of Unknown.TV we're looking to bring light on the Unknown world of Inner-City's Sydney's creative arts and artists, in hope their practice, talent, value and love they bring to our city can be equally appreciated, represented and part of the identity that Sydney Australia has to the rest of the world.
